About Bradley Limpert
LIMPERT & ASSOCIATES Technology Law | Commercialization and LitigationP. Bradley Limpert’s practise focuses on technology law, principally in the areas of litigation and commercialization. Brad has practiced at one of Canada’s largest
IP boutiques, and was a partner and chair of the National Technology Practice Group at one of Canada’s largest law firms.
On behalf of his clients, he has obtained multi-million dollar settlements and judgments for his clients, as well as injunctive relief and civil search warrants. He has also been successful in obtaining accounts of profits, delivery up and destruction of infringing materials, and other remedies.
He has advised clients on over 500 licensing transactions and in over 200 financing/M&A transactions.
Mr. Limpert appears in the various Courts of Canada, representing clients in relation to the infringement and validity of rights in patents, copyright and confidential information. He also litigates licensing disputes. He has represented clients in mediation, arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution procedures in Canada and abroad. His clients include national and multinational companies, venture capital-financed technology companies, hospitals, universities and public agencies. Brad is also a director of a number of technology investment funds.
In the area of commercialization, his work includes assisting with various types of agreements and negotiations including in relation to outsourcing, development, privacy, data security, clinical trial and research agreements, co-development agreements and other corporate/commercial matters of interest to technology companies.
Before practising law, Bradley Limpert worked at IBM Canada in software development, project management and marketing. He is also a registered patent agent, and has a Master’s degree in electrical and biomedical engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in engineering physics. He is a Certified Licensing Professional.
